To enter Algeria, a passport valid for at least six months is required by nationals referred to in the chart above.
Visas

Visa Note
Visa applicants need to show proof of a hotel booking in Algeria. It is advisable to obtain the visa in your home country rather than when in a neighbouring country.
Transit
To obtain a transit visa, you will need to show a valid visa or required documentation for entry to your final destination as well as an onward ticket and sufficient funds for accommodation in Algeria.
Types of Visa and Cost
Single- or multiple-entry visa: £85; transit visa: £60; student visa: £135; work visa: £270. These fees are for British passport holders, but costs vary according to nationality; contact the consulate (or consular section at the embassy) for details.
Validity
Tourist and multiple-entry: dependent on each case, with a maximum stay of 180 days per year.
Transit: one or two entries up to a maximum of seven days.
Business: dependent on each case.
